PAUC Ministry Evangelical Statement of Faith

The Bible made up of both Old and New Testament Scriptures is God’s Holy Word.

We believe that God is the Creator of the universe and all living things.

God is a triune being consisting of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost otherwise known as the Trinity.

Jesus Christ is God’s only begotten Son sent into the world to redeem mankind from their sin. He was both fully God and fully man and is the only Saviour of the world.

Redemption for mankind is only available through faith in Jesus’ atoning death on the cross and the shedding of His precious blood.

Salvation is by grace through faith, and not by works of self-righteousness.

We believe the command that Jesus said, “you must be born again”.

We are to obey the Lord in water baptism according to the Bible.

We observe the ordinance of holy communion to remember the Lord’s death on the cross for us.

We affirm that Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, ministered through healing the sick, casting out demons, raising the dead, preaching and teaching, doing miracles, and that He died and was raised from the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures.

Christ ascended to heaven after His death and resurrection where He now sits at the right hand of God the Father.

Christ has sent the Holy Spirit to this world also to convict the world and to aid the Christian.

Heaven and hell are literal eternal places and to enter heaven one must be a true and faithful disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Homosexuality is a sin according to the Scriptures.

Abortion is the shedding of innocent blood and condemned by God.

We are living in the last days and Christ will return personally and visibly to this world very soon.

There will be a resurrection of all people, some unto life eternal and others unto eternal damnation.
