Please don’t think that pro-life advocates are just being judgmental or uncompassionate. We realise that there are different situations, and some of these situations are not easy but the bottom line is what God says, and abortion is still wrong. God is the giver of life and He decides what we should do with it. It is not our decision to take life. Also, many unwanted pregnancies are as a result of fornication, adultery and other sexual sins which God is against. If these sins were not committed there would not be a pregnancy to begin with. Sin is the problem. Of course, not all abortions are carried out on babies conceived by sexual sin, but we do live in a promiscuous society (which God forbids), and this leads to many other problems.
This is not a man versus woman issue. The feminist movement wants to make everything about a man versus woman issue because they are of their father the devil, they want to spread division and rebellion, and raise themselves up to be lords over men—wicked! Men and women are both involved in conceiving a child, and both many times involved in the decisions that follow. Both need to take responsibility. The woman should not take the selfish attitude that it is her body and her decision alone. There are three persons to consider at the point of pregnancy: the mother, the father, and the child. It is not solely a female issue but something that affects everyone. Many times, it is unfortunately the father that pushes for the abortion. There are both men and women for abortion and against abortion.
It is a right versus wrong issue before Almighty God. People need to take stock of their lives and make the right decision regarding all aspects of their lives making themselves accountable to God and doing the right thing no matter what.
There are a number of pro-life and particularly Christian people who would be more than willing to offer help and support in various situations where people are genuinely struggling and need help. We are not here just to “point the finger and condemn”, but we are not prepared to submit to wickedness either that the word of God clearly condemns.
Actually, it is pro-abortion people that often get very angry and upset with us—sometimes abusive.
Many women struggle for years with feelings of guilt and depression after an abortion. Women have confessed this. So not only does abortion take the life of the unborn child, it does not do the mother any favours either. So, by being pro-life advocates we are not only reaching out for the sake of the child but the mother also. We are not necessarily against the mother, but we are against the sin of abortion. It is a sin and there is no way around it.
